Cali Girl News is one of my regular reads. Cali Girl's site is a member of the GamesMania Network, and provides solid, useful gaming news, perspectives from the POV of a female gamer, and does some neat things like noting readers' birthdays.

Da Valkyries - Women Gamers Online has news, links, resources, beginners guides, game reviews, and also hosts several female gaming sites.

GameGirlz.com is one of the premier female gaming sites, and an excellent all around resource and a good starting point. It's helmed by Vangie "Aurora" Beal (of Lilith and Eve fame) and sports links, gaming news, The Mighty Times, and more.

Hell's Belles is an all-female Quake 2 clan. Their goal was to start a clan where women who recently just started playing mulitplayer Quake 2 and are probably still beginners would have a clan they could join (since many clans are looking for very experienced players). Even though they want to take in beginners, the idea is to build up their skills so they kick plenty of ass.
